How often should you actually detail your car?

The honest answer: it depends on how the car lives. A garaged weekend car and a daily commuter parked under trees are living two very different lives, and their paint knows it.

For a daily driver, we recommend a full detail every 4–6 months, with proper hand washes in between. That cadence keeps contamination from bonding deep into the clear coat, keeps the interior from reaching the point of no return, and means each detail is maintenance — not rescue.

For a garaged or weekend car, once or twice a year is usually enough, as long as it's washed correctly in between. The biggest enemy for these cars isn't the road — it's dust, and bad washing habits that grind that dust into swirl marks.

Interiors are their own clock. Kids, pets, coffee, gym bags — if that's your car, a seasonal interior detail will genuinely change your relationship with it. Odors and stains get exponentially harder to remove the longer they sit.

The most expensive detailing schedule is 'whenever it gets really bad.' By the time paint looks chalky or carpet smells permanent, you're paying for restoration, not maintenance. A steady rhythm is cheaper, and the car never has a bad day.
